Nonviolent Communication (NVC) was developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, International peacemaker and founder of the Centre for Nonviolent Communication

For the past 35 years, Dr. Rosenberg and his associates have provided NVC training in more than 30 countries around the world, offering workshops and conflict resolution sessions for schools, teachers, counsellors, health care providers, mediators, managers, prisons, police, clergy, government officials and corporate houses..

Peace programmes have been initiated in a number of areas with conflict including Rwanda, Burundi, Nigeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Sierra Leone, Colombia, Serbia, Croatia Northern Ireland and the Middle East.

Marshall Rosenberg's book, Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life (Puddle Dancer Press, 1999) has been translated into eight languages.
